Worth it

Last year was NO BUENO! My husband was gone for 10 months and I had to do a lot on my own. I won't and can't lie, it was tough. Being a single mom was hard. Luckily, it's 2012 and I made it "through the rain..." so Mariah tells it. I know that "what won't kill us, makes us stronger" and I feel just that. I feel stronger. I feel that I know who and what my support system is and that, if I had to do it again, I can survive. I had many opportunities to "fall" and "break", but I am happy to say that the Lord, along with my family and ward members, got me through it all. I couldn't have done it without them and I am lucky to have had them with me. I had a lot of bonding times with my kids and that had to be my favorite part. When I was a single parent before, I didn't appreciate my kids. I didn't spend as much time with them as I should have and I didn't place them as a priority. This time it was different. My kids were first and everything I did, I did for them. I didn't forget to take care of myself, and I think that's what made this experience more beneficial. I learned how to express myself, how to provide, how to communicate, how to take care of myself and how to become self sufficient. Even though I wouldn't want to go through 2011 ever again, I am stronger now than I was before and that has made it, worth it.

It's His Birthday...

For those of you, like myself, who constantly nag and fight with your husband, give him his birthday. Its only 1 out of 365 days of the year. If you can't do it any other day, give him the one day where its all about him. Smiling and nodding your head for one day is not going to kill you. Grit your teeth, bite your tongue and give him His day!

Young Love

So I'm seeing my nieces and nephews (aka my kids) starting new relationships and hope I'm still hip and young enough for them to hear me hahaha.

Dont rush: There is plenty of time to grow up and have a family. I'm not saying not to look, I'm just saying enjoy the ride. Be young and date around. The more you date, the more you will know your preferences. There is nothing that says you MUST marry your High School sweet heart or that says you have to have one in the first place.

Find Quality: Someone that is rare is going to put your interests first. They will also stand up for what they believe in and will keep their word. Someone who loves your family as much as you do will always be a keeper around here. Someone who is honorable and honest. I know this sounds all, "back in the day" and what not, but believe me...10 years into your relationship you're going to wonder why he won't get off the couch or why she's starting to go out more and more without you :o and you're going to kick yourself for not falling for the nice guy that begged you not to go lol.

Last but most definitely not least...BE: Don't just take up space. Do. That means, be active. Live life. The more you do this, the more you get to know yourself which will prepare you to be the perfect person for whomever may fall into your life. Besides, when you finally meet that perfect someone and you start bragging about him/her, make sure he/she has something to brag about too hahaha. I'm just sayin...

I know this isn't as good as my previous postings, but as you can see, it's been a while. It's about time I get back into this. I LOVE MY FAMILY AND ESPECIALLY MY KIDS...Ofa Atu

DAY 1

So me and some friends decided to start THE MASTER CLEANSE today. I'm excited. the last time I did it I lost 32lbs. Granted I gained it all back, but I'm excited to get back into my jeans again. I keep thinking of ways to maintain my weight this time. My game plan has come down to hitting the rec center and staying active with my kids. We are making small healthy choices when we eat so we'll see how that goes. My husband is more supportive this time around than the first. I think its because I made him do it with me the first time lol. So anyways...I'm excited for SKINNY JEANS...

Day 1:

Not too bad today...its only noon, but we'll see how it goes

Right now I feel that if I stay away from the kitchen I won't be tempted.

10p: What in the world was I thinking?? It's not so much that I'm hungry, I just want what you're eating!! I need to get some sleep before hungry comes out again...

It was going well until around 5p. I had to keep myself out of the kitchen and my husband had to fend for himself. I saw him eat a banana and I was soooo tempted...I just gotta keep my eyes on the prize! A healthier, lighter me. We went over to my mom's house where she's always making good stuff and lo and behold....to pai, ika and kumala! man, that woman knows how to breakdown some will power.

I CAN DO THIS!!(it looks more convincing on a blog than it feels to write it hahaha)

GOOD NIGHT...moving on to day 2!!

TRY AGAIN MUDDAH!!!

lol So yeah, I thought I knew what I was gonna do with my blog, but since no one reads it anyway, I've decided to just write what I wanna right. So here we go again...
